Michael Hanna and Friends have been playing for more than 10 years at venues in Japan, USA, and Canada. The Detroit born son of pianist/composer Sir Roland Hanna, Michael Curtis Hanna is at home singing soul stirring spirituals as well as vocalese in the style of the great Eddie Jefferson. Hanna has two CDs to his credit and has performed at North American and Asian venues. Michael currently sings in church choirs in Detroit, Toronto and Ottawa as well as at jazz venues in Detroit and Ottawa. He manages Gahanna Music Publishing Company, promoting the over 300 compositions of Sir Roland Hanna. He also can be found on several CDs.
