Richard Page’s Night On The Town Band performs at 7:00 pm on Sunday October 18, 2015 at the Baldachin Inn Ballroom.
Richard Page’s Night On The Town Band is fresh and new, having been active for just one year. The group explores Richard’s original compositions, while at the same time allowing the players the freedom of their own sound and expression. The combination of woodwinds, trumpet (with many mutes), guitar, bass and drums provides a varied palette for listeners. The band has many influences but most prevalent are the blues and world music.
Woodwind artist Richard Page has become a fixture on the Ottawa jazz scene, a sought-after performer and educator for all levels. Throughout his career, Richard has performed with many great artists, such as The Temptations, Bob Brookmeyer, Rick Wilkins, Darcy Hepner, Andrean Farrugia and many others. He has played at a variety of clubs, cities and festivals, most notably at the Montreaux, Vienne, Montreal, Ottawa and Beaches Jazz Festivals. Expect to hear the dancing or party music of some of the best nightlife cities in the world!
