Dominique Forest is noticed for the smooth interpretations she brings to jazz’s most memorable songs. Jazz suits Dominique in every way, from her classic profile and easy yet commanding stage presence to her singular interpretive style.
Third time is a charm… Dominique returns to Merrickville’s Jazz Fest. This time, she will share the thoughtful, intimate and provocative compositions of her debut CD, C’est à moi. After two highly successful launch events, at the National Arts Centre – Fourth Stage in Ottawa and to a hometown crowd in Sudbury, Dominique will present the songs of C’est à moi as well as some of the most beloved jazz melodies to MJF festival audiences. Jacques Émond called her “one of the best performers to take the stage”, Ottawa Life Magazine says “It’s that voice!” and Peter Hum notes her singing as full-bodied, bang-on pitch-wise and blessed with all kinds of expressiveness.
Accompanied by Pierre Monfils on guitar, Dominique will perform these beautiful songs for you. Come join Dominique and Pierre at Gad’s Hill Place.
