Neil Sealy was born in St. Philip, Barbados where he grew up in a musical family performing with his brothers on the hotel circuit. His brother Michael Sealy is a well-known jazz guitarist still playing in Barbados and the surrounding Islands. After living in Trinidad and the United States, Neil made his home in Ottawa in 1975 and continued his musical career. He has played with Brian Browne, Vernon Isaac, Marjoree Whylie, and in venues such as The Canadian Grill and Zoe’s at the Chateau Laurier for many years as well as Le Café at the National Arts Centre. Neil manages his own trio and can be heard around Ottawa.
