Doug Martin is a saxophonist, composer and teacher who has been working in the Ottawa area for many years. As a saxophonist, audiences come to hear him because of his emotional and engaging style and fresh approach to jazz standards. Doug is also a prolific composer and many of his compositions have found their way into his performing repertoire. Recently he recorded a new CD entitled
Odyssey consisting entirely of his own music. A number of tunes from this album have achieved airplay in Ottawa as well as in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, across Canada on the CBC, and in Europe. As leader of several groups, he has played every venue in the Ottawa Valley and has been chosen to perform at the TD Ottawa Jazz Festival many times. This coming December he will be performing at the Havana Jazz Festival in Cuba. For more information and music samples:

Yves Laroche has been a well-known and respected figure on the Ottawa jazz scene for many years. He has performed with virtually every jazz musician in the city at one time or another and his services are in constant demand. In addition to his work as a performer, Yves is director of music education at the Creative Arts Centre in Bells Corners and teaches jazz at the University of Ottawa.
