Traditional pop, swing, and jazz singer and composer/lyricist Steven Taetz sings standards made popular by Ella Fitzgerald and Tony Bennett, as well as his own new standards that have been praised by JazzTimes. Taetz is joined by award winning musicians including Nathan Hiltz on guitar, Ewen Farncombe on piano, Soren Nissen on bass, and Eric West on drums.
Steven Taetz has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Bitter End and Rockwood Music Hall (NY), The Rogers Centre (Toronto), Hotel Café (LA), House of Jazz (Montreal), and this summer has been featured at jazz festivals in Rochester NY, Toronto, Waterloo, and many other events. His recent album Drink You In debuted at #3 on iTunes Jazz, and he is currently collaborating with internationally-recognized collaborators for his upcoming 2020 album. He looks forward to sharing a preview of this new material with theMerrickville Jazz Festival.
