The Rimbach/Bedner Quartet’s repertoire includes music by Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Pat Metheny, the Beatles and Antonio Carlos Jobim, each song carefully re-arranged to incorporate this group’s unique twists and grooves.

Originally from New Jersey, Vince Rimbach attended Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied composition, arranging and performance. His saxophone teachers have included Bill Evans, Steve Grossman, Joe Viola, George Garzone and Jerry Bergonzi. In addition to leading his own groups Vince has shared the stage with the likes of The Temptations, Tomson Highway, Paticia Cano, Clark Terry, Bill Watrous, The Artie Shaw Band, Los Gringos, Carol Channing, Sid Ceasar, and Jerry Van Dyke And those stage he has been on have include ones set up for  TD Ottawa International Jazz Festival, GigSpace, Merrickville’s Jazz Festival as well as Norwegian Cruise Lines, Carnival Cruise Lines, CJOH-TV, The National Arts Centre of Ottawa, CBC Radio, CHEO Telethon. His CD, Just One More Thing To Say, (2001) continues to receive highly favourable reviews.

Tim Bedner is a modern lyrical composer and improviser, and an award-winning teacher and performer on six- and seven-string guitar. Reviewers have called him “a talent and a force, playing with grace, style, passion, and inventiveness.” His CD, Of Light and Shadow, debuted #1 spot the CMJ jazz chart, where it remained in the Top 40 for four weeks. Tim teaches jazz guitar performance at Carleton University, where he founded the Contemporary & Jazz Guitar Ensemble. In addition to composing, Tim creates arrangements and guitar instructional materials, and gives workshops, master classes, and private lessons. He performs extensively throughout the Ottawa-Gatineau region. A sought-after accompanist, he has shared a stage with many known musicians across a variety of genres. Tim earned his Master’s degree with distinction from Duquesne University and is a summa cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music.

Joining them on bass is Norm Glaude and on drums Valeriy Nehorova.
