Multi-talented, Toronto-based pianist, vocalist, composer, arranger, voice and piano teacher, community event organizer and JUNO Award Nominee, Fern Lindzon is “an engaging pianist and singer who brings an unassuming authority, an inquiring spirit and a natural grace to contemporary jazz.” (Mark Miller, jazz writer). She is “a rare jazz singer” with “breathtakingly beautiful” technique, (Stuart Broomer, The Whole Note) the personification of “a woman who lives confidently with her own instincts and artistry.” (Shelley Gummeson, !earshot).

Fern Lindzon has three CDs to her credit. Her first CD, Moments Like These (2008) was critically well-received and her second, Two Kites, received a JUNO nomination for Vocal Jazz Album of the Year in 2012. She describes her third CD, Like a Circle in a Spiral (2014) as the culmination to date, of a fascinating musical journey that began with classical voice and piano lessons as a child, through a degree in music history, studies with Frank Falco and Don Thompson and then, as a performer of jazz and world music.

Fern has also been an active member of several klezmer bands, writes and performs silent film scores, and been Musical Director of several theatre productions.
