Garry Elliott has been a freelance guitarist in Ottawa for over 40 years. He has played with many of the city’s finest musicians and enjoyed many collaborations. His work with pianist Steve Boudreau has been very special both as a composer and improviser. A project with Ottawa vocalist Christine Fagan, combining original lyrics and tunes, is currently in the works.
Steve Boudreau is an Ottawa-based pianist and educator who specializes in jazz and popular music. He has performed as a leader and sideman across North America and parts of Europe. He has released several albums featuring his original compositions, including most recently a five-album solo piano set made possible by a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts.
Together, Steve and Garry have recorded two albums of original music, “Pre-Dawn Skies” and “Opus 2”, which augments the duo to a quartet with bass and drums. For this show, they are pleased to be joined by Ottawa’s finest, John Geggie and Michel Delage, both who have worked with Garry and Steve on many projects.
